Glass Wine Cellar Installed in Macclesfield
This bespoke glass wine cellar was designed and installed at a beautiful property, transforming the unused space beneath the staircase into a striking feature. The frameless design keeps the area open, while tinted glass and integrated lighting create a dedicated wine display that enhances the surrounding interior.
Designed to follow the angle of the staircase, this cellar was fully templated for a precise, made-to-measure fit. Off-the-shelf solutions wouldn’t have worked with the sloping ceiling and varying dimensions, making a bespoke enclosure the ideal choice for a seamless finish.
Stylish Grey Toughened Glass
For this project, we used 10mm grey toughened safety glass. The subtle tint adds depth and contrast while allowing the stone wall and lighting behind to remain visible. This creates a premium display area that doesn’t overwhelm the space.
The grey glass complements the natural materials in the home, particularly the exposed stone wall. Combined with integrated lighting, it produces a modern and elegant storage area that’s both practical and visually impressive.
Frameless Design with Black Hardware
Sleek black hinges and fittings provide a bold contrast against the grey glass while tying in with the staircase details.
The frameless door offers easy access to the wine storage area while maintaining a clean, uninterrupted frontage. Each panel was manufactured to exact template measurements, ensuring consistent gaps and a precise fit around the sloping ceiling.
