Painted Glass Splashbacks in Rossett: A Personal Touch with a View of Ullswater
We recently completed this beautiful kitchen splashback installation in Rossett. The customer chose a combination of painted and printed glass to create a practical finish with plenty of personality.
Our team templated the splashbacks to achieve a precise fit. We then manufactured the glass to suit the kitchen.
For the main splashback areas, the customer chose Valspar Flock of Seagulls. Behind the hob, they selected a stunning photograph of Pooley Bridge Lake House on Ullswater.
The finished kitchen combines a soft blue-grey colour with a beautiful Lake District landscape.

Painted glass splashbacks in Valspar Flock of Seagulls
The main painted glass splashbacks feature Valspar Flock of Seagulls. This soft blue-grey shade works beautifully with the kitchen units and light worktops.
Choosing a specific paint colour gives you plenty of options when designing a glass splashback. You can match the glass to your kitchen units, walls or other features.
For this kitchen, the subtle colour creates a clean and modern finish. It also complements the darker grey cabinetry without overpowering the room.

A stunning printed glass splashback behind the hob
The customer chose something more eye-catching for the area behind the hob.
They selected a beautiful image of Pooley Bridge Lake House on Ullswater. We digitally printed the image onto the glass to create a striking focal point.
The photograph works particularly well in this space. The calm water and surrounding landscape create a sense of depth. The reflections also add another layer to the image.
The result brings a little piece of the Lake District into the kitchen.

Low iron toughened glass for better clarity
We manufactured all of the glass using low iron toughened glass.
Low iron glass offers excellent clarity. It contains less of the natural green tint found in standard clear glass.
This makes a real difference when using painted or printed glass. Colours appear cleaner and closer to the original shade.
It also helps photographic images look crisp and clear. This was particularly important for the detailed Ullswater image chosen for the hob splashback.
The toughened glass also provides the safety and durability needed for a kitchen splashback.

Made-to-measure glass splashbacks
Every kitchen is different, so we make each splashback to suit the individual space.
We started this project by templating the glass. This allowed us to take the kitchen layout and any features into account before manufacturing the splashbacks.
Our painted glass splashbacks can match a wide range of colours. We can also create bespoke printed glass using a suitable image or design.
You could choose a favourite photograph, a landscape or another image that means something to you. Alternatively, a simple colour match can create a clean and understated finish.

Create a splashback that is unique to your kitchen
This Rossett project shows how different glass finishes can work together.
The Valspar Flock of Seagulls glass creates a soft and consistent finish around the kitchen. The printed Ullswater splashback then creates a feature behind the hob.
