A Long-Lasting Aluminium Bifold Door Installation
We recently revisited a property where we originally installed two Schüco bifold doors back in 2015. Our visit was to measure for a new project, but while we were there we took the opportunity to photograph the existing doors.
More than 10 years later, the bifold doors still look and operate like they were installed yesterday. The frames remain in excellent condition, the doors glide smoothly, and the overall installation still looks modern and impressive.
This installation is a great example of how high-quality aluminium bifold doors can stand the test of time when manufactured and installed correctly.
Large Schüco Bifold Door Configuration
The property features two impressive bifold door sets:

6-pane bifold door – 6.2 metres wide

4-pane bifold door – 4 metres wide
Both doors were designed to open outwards, creating wide, uninterrupted openings and allowing plenty of natural light into the living space. Even after a decade of regular use, the doors continue to operate smoothly and align perfectly.

Even after more than 10 years of exposure to the weather, the powder-coated finish has retained its appearance beautifully with minimal signs of ageing. Aluminium is extremely durable and resistant to corrosion, warping, and expansion, making it ideal for large bifold door systems.
